我国是礼仪之邦，自古崇尚礼为天下先，强调以礼治国、以礼治家，历史上的无数名人无不是守礼之人，如孔子、孟子、周恩来等。

China has always been a state of ceremonies. Since ancient times, rite has been emphasized in managing a family and ruling a country. Countless great names in history are people who observe rites, such as Confucius, Mencius, and Zhou Enlai.

  枫叶传承中华经典文化，弘扬传统文化精华，学礼仪、懂礼仪是每个学子的必修课。今天，高三年级1&2班的同学在升旗仪式上，向我们展示了中国从古至今拜见老师的礼仪，以及其传承与发展。

Maple Leaf school carries forward classical Chinese culture and celebrates traditional Chinese culture. Good manners are highly valued in our school. Today,  students of Class 1 & 2, Grade 12 showed us how the etiquette of greeting and visiting teachers has been passed on and developed from past to the present in the flag-raising ceremony.

  当然，在枫叶校园里，总免不了要和外教老师们打招呼， Tsegai Sebhatu 老师和陈梓健同学生动形象并且很接地气地给我们展示了不一样的打招呼方式。这种轻松欢快的方式也使我们在日常学习中感到身心愉悦。  

In Maple Leaf school, students often come across international teachers, and it is necessary to greet them properly. Today, the student Chen Zijian and the teacher Tsegai Sebhatu showed us an interesting way of greeting each other. This unique and cheerful way also makes this school colorful.

  荀子云：“不学礼无以立，人无礼则不生，事无礼则不成，国无礼则不宁”。

Xun Zi once said : “If people do not learn courtesy, they would be hardly welcomed by this society and successful in business; those people even would, consequently, make this society messy”.

  每一位中国人都应该重视礼仪，尤其身为即将踏出国门深造的枫叶学子，我们更应该提高自身礼仪和文化修养，并将这传承了上千年的中华美德准确展现给世界，让世界了解中国。为此，我们倡议：从我做起，从校园做起，学习礼仪，践行礼仪，传承礼仪。

We should pay more attention to courtesy and learn good manners, particularly as Maple Leaf students who are about to study abroad and present our image to the world. Therefore, we should learn, observe and carry forward the etiquette starting from ourselves in the campus.

  最后，各班学生代表依次签署了校园礼仪公约。希望在礼仪公约的督促下我们可以以“礼”为荣。

Finally, student representatives of each class signed the school courtesy convention, and it is hoped that we are proud of propriety.
