作为高中师生上课、学习的重要阵地，我校的加方图书馆在支持学校课程发展、促进学生英语阅读兴趣和习惯的培养等方面发挥着越来越重要的作用。

这里有教师教学资源、传记、纪实小说、杂志、轻松读物、漫画小说等多种类型的读物和资料，可以为师生提供超过8000本的英文纸版和电子书籍，是老师和同学们查找信息的信息中心。

这里有师生共读一本书的晨读活动，有读诗周，有荣军纪念日主题展示等多种活动，以活动推动师生对图书馆资料的利用率，同时也提高学生学习英文、使用英文的能力。

这里还将引进一个叫Koha的新系统，为师生提供一个在线的访问目录，使我校的加方图书馆与枫叶集团乃至世界的教育资源接轨，大家还可以通过“TumbleBook”云系统进行线上电子书籍和有声书的阅读（包括MUSE, SLAM 和Seventeen等适合学生阅读的杂志）

图书馆环境优雅安静，同学们每天都可以在这里查阅资料、借阅图书、交流读书和学习心得等。

BC Library Welcomes You

BC Library is an important place where teachers and student engage

 in academic activities. It is playing an increasingly important role in

 supporting the school’s curriculum and promoting reading English 

books for pleasure.

It works as an information center, giving teachers and students access 

to over 8,000 English printed and online books. There are sections of

 Teacher’s Resource, Graphic Novels, Reference Collection, Biographies,

 Non Fiction, Magazines, Easy Reading, and Novels.

Teachers are invited to bring their students during homeroom period

 to read a book. There are initiated thematic displays for example 

Remembrance Day and Poet in Your Pocket Week. The purpose is to

 empower students in their use of library resources and improve their 

English skills in order to meet the BC program requirements.

The library will go live with a new library system called Koha which 

provides an online access to its catalogue GALAXY to the whole Maple

 Leaf community and to the world. Students also have access to leisure

 reading through TumbleBook Cloud for electronic and audio-book. 

More recently they can sign out magazines such as MUSE, SLAM and 

Seventeen.

BC library is a nice and quiet place where students can look up information,

 read books and share their learning.
