It’s a beautiful sunny day. We held a special activity of which the main purpose is to improve the students’ social life and gain more confidence that uniting as one and working together is the main key in achieving a healthy, happy,  and harmonious campus life.

阳光普照的一天，高中ESL英语课上举办了一场特殊的活动。丰富了同学们的社会生活，让他们更加相信团结一致、共同努力是实现健康、快乐、和谐校园生活的关键。

A week ago, we answered the call of the Bridging and Foundation teacher Mr. Reagan Cabauatan to make a model city with all of his students from Blocks A, B, C, & E. Each set was beautifully done with high class. We got more excited when other students from other classes got invited with their teachers to vote for these amazing Mini-City Models by giving stickers to their designated group boards.

上周，我们应Reagan老师的邀请，与Reagan老师的所有学生一起制作了迷你城市城市。每一套作品都是高水准的精美制作。而其他班的同学和老师则被邀请给指定的组贴上贴纸，为这些迷你城市模型投票。

When each of the 14 groups set up their stalls to show off their very cool models, students from other classes with their teachers got the chance to socialize with Mr. Reagan’s students asking why they have chosen those designs and how they have constructed such beautiful and futuristic Mini-City Models.

14个小组摆好他们的模型，其他班级的学生与老师有机会和Reagan老师和他的学生交流为什么他们选择这些设计和构造了这么漂亮的和未来的小小城市模型。

This event Mr. Reagan organized with all of his students was very successful because all the teachers and most of the students in the LEP department, two BC teachers Meighan and Robert, and our very helpful ESL Director Anny An came to support and vote for the best models on this very happy and productive day. 

活动组织得非常成功。几乎所有基础班和中级班的老师都和大多数学生都来参加了这项活动。两位外方教师Meighan和Robert,和高中英语中心主任Anny也前来支持，票选出了最好的模型。

This time, we really learned a lot such as time management, organizational skills, interpersonal communication, and most importantly TEAMWORK. We hope that there are more such meaningful events to come in the future.

这一课，我们学到的，远比英语本身更加重要，比如时间管理，组织能力，人际沟通，最重要的还有团队合作。希望将来会举行更多这样有意义的活动。

教师介绍：

Mr. Reagan Cabauatan has been teaching the English language in China for almost 12 years and this is now his 6th year at Maple Leaf International School. He believes that success in the teaching-learning process is always attributed to the creativity of the educators. For him, to be creative, the teacher has to always consider individual differences or diversity of the learners in every learning episode to make it more meaningful and conducive to learning.

Mr. Reagan Cabauatan已经在中国从教12年的英语，今年是他在枫叶国际学校的第六年。他认为，教学过程的成功，始终要归功于教育工作者的创造力。对他来说，要想有创造性，教师在每一个学习阶段都要考虑到学习者的个体差异或多样性，使其教学更有意义，更有利于学生学习。
