11月13日晚，枫叶教育集团第二届“枫叶杯”英语演讲比赛天津赛区高中组初赛圆满落幕。

评委团队由高中ESL双语教师，高中ESL外教和BC教师组成。

选手按顺序演讲，评委依据选手表现打分，8位评委给分的平均分为选手的最终得分。

此次比赛，同学们充分展现了自我，锻炼了英语运用能力及临场应变能力，提高了同学们学习英语的积极性和学好英语的信心。

同时，本次比赛也暴露出同学们在英语学习上的一些问题，比如语音、语调不够纯正，缺乏演讲经验，胆量不够大等。

希望同学们以此次演讲比赛为契机，保持英语学习的兴趣，夯实对英语基础知识的学习，通过上好每节英语课，每天拿出固定的时间段，练听力，练口语，多读英文报纸，多看英语原版书等,提升英语学习水平！

On the evening of November 13th, with all the efforts of all contestants and the participation of all judges, the second "Maple Leaf Cup" English speech contest held by Maple Leaf International Schools-Tianjin TEDA was a complete success.

Firstly, the host announced the beginning of the speech contest and introduced the judges and guests.The judges were staffed by High School ESL bilingual teachers, ESL foreign teachers and BC teachers. During the competition, the contestants gave their speeches in order, and the judges graded the contestants according to their performance.The final score was the average of the eight judges.

Through this competition, the contestants overcame their fear of speaking English, fully demonstrated themselves, built up their confidence in learning English, and this competition aroused their enthusiasm for English learning, and improved their ability to use and respond to English. At the same time, this competition also reflects some students' problems, such as: pronunciation, intonation, lack of speech experience.

We hope students can take this speech contest as an opportunity to consolidate their English and keep their interest in English learning. We hope they can have a good and happy English class every day.
